Jen Dusseljee
PhD Candidate
Jen Dusseljee received his BSc in Computing Science and MSc in Data Science from Radboud University. He completed his BSc thesis at DIAG on improving lung cancer detection on low-dose CT scans under the supervision of Lars Leijten and Colin Jacobs. He later went on to also complete his MSc thesis at DIAG, supervised by Sarah de Boer and Alessa Hering. The topic of his MSc thesis was the use of latent diffusion models for weakly-supervised kidney lesion detection on CT images.
In February 2026, Jen Dusseljee started as a PhD candidate at the Computational Pathology Group. His research, which is part of the PERSIMMON project, revolves around the use of AI to predict the risk of kidney transplant rejection and select appropriate treatment. He is supervised by Jeroen van der Laak and Luuk Hilbrands.
