Sophie van den Broek is a student-assistant in the Computational Pathology Group since May 2017. She supports several PhD projects by making annotations. In 2018, Sophie obtained her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Radboud University Nijmegen and started the master Biomedical Sciences at the Radboud University Nijmegen. During her first internship, Sophie investigated the effect of thyroid hormone replacement therapy during pregnancy on developmental outcomes of preschool children at the University of Oslo. Currently, she investigates the effect of depression and antidepressants use during pregnancy on miscarriages and birth defects at the Radboudumc. In the summer of 2020, Sophie will start her last internship at the pharmacovigilance centre Lareb in Den Bosch.
