Hafsa Akebli is a guest researcher at the Computational Pathology Group, Radboud University Medical Center, where she works under the supervision of Nadieh Khalili. She joined the group on 1 June 2026 for a four-month research stay, focusing on multimodal artificial intelligence for medical image analysis.
Hafsa is currently a third-year PhD student in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Udine, Italy, where her research centers on deep learning methods for pathology image interpretation for medical decision support. She previously completed a visiting research stay at the Tissue Image Analytics Centre, University of Warwick, UK. Prior to her PhD, she obtained an engineering degree in Industrial Management from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Morocco and gained two years of industry experience.
