Heng Zhang

PhD Candidate

Heng Zhang received his master's degree in clinical medical surgery from Harbin Medical University, China in 2021. Subsequently, in April 2023, he started as a PhD student in the Department of Pathology at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He is currently working on a project to improve the understanding and treatment of colorectal mucinous adenocarcinoma by researching deeper into chromosomal copy number aberrations and chromosomal copy number heterogeneity to discover the relationship between these factors and the prognosis of stage II colorectal mucinous adenocarcinoma. The project is in collaboration with the Computational Pathology Group. He is under the supervision of Iris Nagtegaal and Femke Doubrava-Simmer and Francesco Ciompi.
