Joep Bogaerts is a PhD candidate in the Computational Pathology group of the Department of Pathology of the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen. He studied medicine at the Erasmus university in Rotterdam and graduated in 2012, after which he worked as a medical doctor in global health and tropical medicine. In 2017 he started his pathology residency at the Radboud University Medical Center and in 2021 he joined the Computational Pathology group, where he works under the supervision of Jeroen van der Laak on deep learning for improved detection of premalignant lesions in the Fallopian tube.
